Overview

The Chancellor’s annual budget process provides an opportunity for control points to make requests for
recurring and one-time incremental funding. Funding for approved requests may come from campus
core funds directly, and may include funding from other major campus partners, typically the School of
Medicine and/or UCSF Health, depending on the expected benefits of specific funding decisions. Input
from campus leadership, especially from the major funding partners, is important to the Chancellor in
making these decisions. This document formalizes the membership and role of the Funding Request
Review Committee, which is advisory to the Chancellor in making funding decisions.
